Contract Drafting: Our assisted reproduction contract drafting has been refined over the past 27 years to cover and preclude the many issues which may arise. We have served as expert witnesses and consultants nationwide.  Contract drafting for surrogacy, ovum donation, sperm donation, and embryo donation is individualized for your situation.

Contract Review: We provide contract review services, identifying provisions that may need special consideration or protections which  may be missing from your contract.  Legal consultations always are customized for your specific needs. Unique situations are our forte; we are very knowledgeable about all aspects of family building whether it be adoption, surrogacy, ovum or sperm donation, embryo donation or embryo adoption.  Because we recognize that timing may be crucial, we strive to complete your review within a very short period of time.

Parentage Action: In California, the birthing woman and her husband are typically presumed to be the mother and father of the child, UNLESS a parentage action is completed.  This court process– drafting petitions, accompanied by declarations and stipulations, points and authorities, and declaratory judgments– is usually initiated during the fifth month of pregnancy, so that by the time the child is born, signed court parentage judgments are in hand declaring that the intended mother and intended father are the parents of the child from the moment of birth.

Same Sex Partners: We are experts in drafting contracts in which partners memorialize their intentions to share parenting of a child prior to conception and birth.  Often these may include ova donation agreements for the sake of the couple, sperm donation agreements of known or unknown donors, parenting agreements, court judgments and/or same sex adoptions.
